Kiosko y Más wins the “Publishing Platform of the Year”
Earlier this fall, Ramon Alonso, managing director of Kiosko y Más, picked up the Publishing Platform of the Year Award from Augustine Torres, director of the fair e-Show. It is the second award for Kiosko y Más in less than a year since its launch, a success that recognizes the enormous efforts of the participating publishers.
Kiosko y Más was launched on July 14 last year and in less than a year has brought together all the major Spanish publishers into the largest such publishing alliance in Europe. Since the launch, the range of titles on offer has quadrupled to over 300, making it the most important digital newsstand in Spanish.
Over 50 media groups publishing more than 700 titles (including special editions and supplements) are involved in the project. All of them share a common goal: to offer the reader the best quality press on a single platform across a range of devices, with exclusive offers, on the internet, iOS and Android.
The application, as well as the new website, has a range of features that allow the user to navigate in a more intuitive way. Also available is a new children’s area with magazines such as Kids, National Geographic, Monster High and Carnivals. Users can read their publications on their smartphone, tablet or PC, whenever and wherever they want. Those readers who prefer the application, which is compatible with iOS and Android, can also enjoy the “Smartflow” social media feature and tools for voting, can save texts with Evernote and Instapaper, and translate text into other languages.
Congratulations to the entire KyM team!
